In a symbolic gesture, Switzerland sympathized with the Iranian people in the face of the Coronavirus by displaying the Iranian flag on one of the country’s most famous peaks.

The Swiss Embassy in Tehran posted a picture on its official page saying: In the midst of the Corona Crisis, last night (Saturday night) in the most symbolic mountain in Switzerland, Matterhorn, the Iranian flag was displayed to send a message of hope, endurance and strength to the Iranian people.
Iran is among the countries affected the coronavirus pandemic. It was first reported in February in Qom province. Since then many public events have been canceled. In addition schools, universities, mosques, holy shrines and malls have been closed.
