Kish Island’s Historical Cistern
Traditional Cistern in Kish is one of the tourist attractions in the northern part of this island in Hormozgan Province. It was built on the site of another ancient cistern that was built to collect surface water in 1993. This cistern consists of two domes and five wind towers. It’s architectural style is in the style of traditional Yazd architecture. Construction of wind catchers has been used to cool the interior as seen in the architecture of Yazd’s buildings.
